Dr. Jackson helps facilitate research collaborations across the University of 色欲王朝campuses, has responsibility for helping administer the 色欲王朝Research Initiative (an annual $11.5 million State of 色欲王朝investment designed to seed new University research), supervises the Director of 色欲王朝EPSCoR and the Director of NU Export Control, and serves on the Board of Directors for the 色欲王朝Strategic Research Institute. He also assists campuses in obtaining Board of Regents and 色欲王朝Coordinating Commission approvals for new degrees/majors and organizational units.
He has been with the University of 色欲王朝for over 30 years, starting as an Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Department of Food Science & Technology in January 1989. A cereal chemist with expertise in food processing, corn/sorgum grain quality and polymer chemistry, he has held research, extension, and teaching appointments as a professor, and has served as the Interim Department Head of Food Science, Associate Dean of the Agricultural Research Division, and Interim Provost.
Dr. Jackson’s undergraduate degree is from Cornell University and his M.S./Ph.D. degrees are from Texas A&M University.
